These lovely all-purpose pencils are made by independent pencilmaker Tim, here in the UK, from recycled CD cases.
Inspired by the colours of the Pao and the gentle tones of early 80s design, they're good for both writing and drawing, leads leaning a little to the H side, and they sharpen very cleanly. We asked Tim to match 7 specific colours (7 because it's Sarah's favourite number) by supplying RAL numbers - check out the pictures of the pencils being made! It feels very appropriate to be using a pencil made from a medium that was hitting its heyday at the time of the Pao's launch. Though the leads are all the same, the colours of the pencils are Aqua Grey, Pinkymole, Terracotta, Ivory, Olive grey, Aluminium and Dashboard Grey.
