PAO Cushioned Tailgate Seat

We've been working on this a while and, many prototypes later, we are pleased to offer our custom tailgate cushion!

This soft, cushioned seat is made for Paodventuring - picnics, motorway stops, admiring the view, pouring coffee. 

Details:

Following the shape of the tailgate, it can be firmly attached but easily removed, with a slanted edge that keeps your legs comfy as you sit on it.

Professionally hand-made from repurposed Pao seat fabric, an increasingly rare resource, the underside is finished in wipe-clean, damp-proof leather-look upholstery fabric in Sarah's 'Pao Giggles' design, which means you can pop it on the grass for your picnic with no concerns - but the addition of zipper means you can take the cover off for cleaning should you need to.

The whole thing is finished with piping made from reclaimed Pao seat PVC (while stocks last) and one of our little woven PAO tags.

And when you're done, the tailgate shuts with the cushion attached, held firm (unless you go off-roading). 

Your cushion will be made to order for you. We offer a choice of fabrics for the underside of your seat cushion. All seats have reclaimed PAO seat fabric on the upper side (please note your seat may come with a neat seam if we have to join two smaller panels together - this is the nature of reclaiming!)

🖍️ A note on colours: Please note that due to a combination of the ageing of Pao paintwork, different screens, software, lighting conditions and printing methods, the fabric colours can never be an exact match for your car's paint and interior. We have sampled and tested many colours working from the original paint codes, but think of the shades as 'inspired by' the original colours!

⚠️ Please also note, purchase of a cushion does not indicate your tailgate is suitable for sitting on! Although originally engineered by the Pike Factory for sitting on by humans up to 100kg, only you know the condition of your Pao's hinges, cables and tailgate.
